1. Information we collect

The Service collects and uses the following information.

• IP address: Temporarily collected to prevent abuse (rate limiting) of the delay-report feature. It stops being used for rate limiting 5 minutes after a report. Expired records are deleted during a later request to the delay-report endpoint.
• Location: Coordinates obtained when you use Find nearby, turn on Auto-locate on open, or show your current location on the map are processed on your device for nearest-stop calculation. They are never sent to or stored by ShidenNow. Opening the map loads map tiles from OpenStreetMap for the area you view; its requests may include your IP address and the requested map area.
• Browser storage: Your font size preference, display language, most recently selected stop, favorites, recently chosen destinations for "Find by destination" (up to 5), and the on/off state of the auto-locate-on-open setting, plus supporting data the app needs to work (the boarding stop and destination chosen in "Find by destination" for the current browser session, a copy of the public holiday list, whether location access has already been granted, whether an informational notice was dismissed, which kind of advertising to show, and the trams you have reported in the current browser session), are stored on your device. Timetables, service-status responses, and pages or assets needed offline may also be cached there. The Service uses localStorage, sessionStorage, and the browser's Cache Storage for this purpose; none of this data is sent to a server.

2. Sharing with third parties

ShidenNow does not provide information it collects for its own features to third parties, except as required by law. Map tiles, advertising, payments, and the contact form are provided directly in your browser by the third-party services described below and are subject to their respective policies. The contact form opens Google Forms; information you enter and submit there is handled by Google and is made available to the operator so that we can respond to your inquiry.

3. About cookies

Core features (font size, remembering your stop, and offline caching) use your device's localStorage, sessionStorage, and browser Cache Storage, not cookies. However, the advertising described below (Google AdSense and affiliate advertising) does use cookies via third-party providers.

4. Advertising

This Service uses the third-party ad service "Google AdSense" (Google LLC).

• Google and other third-party vendors may use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits.
• Information collected: cookie data, access logs, browsing history, etc.
• You can opt out of personalized ads via Google Ad Settings.

※ Google AdSense is based in the United States, and your data may be processed on servers there.

This Service may also display affiliate advertising from A8.net and the Rakuten Affiliate programme instead of AdSense. If you click such a link and make a purchase, the operator receives a commission from the advertiser. This does not affect the price you pay, and the operator does not receive information that identifies you. These links may set cookies to measure referrals.

To decide whether to show AdSense or affiliate advertising, your browser retrieves advertising configuration from kagoit.com, which is operated by the Service operator. This request may include standard connection information such as your IP address. The selected advertising mode is stored on your device as described above.

5. Data management

We manage collected information appropriately and work to prevent unauthorized access, loss, or leakage.

6. Voluntary support (donations)

If you make a voluntary contribution via the About page, payment is processed by Stripe, Inc. Card details etc. are managed by Stripe and are not retained by this Service.
