Transferring between lines
Line 1Line 2share the same platform on the Kagoshima-Ekimae – Tenmonkan-dori section, so no transfer is needed there — just board whichever tram comes first.
Takamibaba and Kōrimoto, however, have separate platforms per line. You can transfer between lines at either stop, but you'll need to walk to the platform on the other side. Using a transfer ticket (or the "Rapica" IC card, which handles it automatically), transfers within 1 hour incur no extra fare.
For details, see theofficial Kagoshima City site (transfer fares)(Japanese only).
